Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic Massage is designed to treat specific conditions such as acute or chronic pain management and limited range of motion. The techniques are more precise, therapeutic, and deeper than Swedish massage strokes. I use Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release and Cross Fiber Frictioning as the foundation for my style of therapeutic bodywork. Clients are active in the treatment process providing feedback to guide the session. Clients undress to their comfort level. Lotion may be applied depending on the techniques used in the session.

I draw from my in depth western science based training in kinesiology, anatomy, physiology and pathology to create a session unique to each client.  Therapeutic massage helps many conditions including pain relief and increased flexibility. It can speed recovery from auto, work and sports injuries. Therapeutic massage can also help with symptoms of repetitive use syndrome, fibromyalgia, tennis elbow, ligament injury, tendonitis, and joint pain including low back, neck and jaw. Headaches, sinus pain and dizziness can also be relieved.

East West Therapeutic Bodywork
An East West Therapeutic Bodywork session will be unique to each client.
The combination of Eastern and Western approaches allows me to find the root of the problem and to treat the symptoms. I gain an understanding of the client s physical and energetic disharmonies by drawing from my extensive knowledge in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western sciences. I integrate the most appropriate modalities into a session to suit each client s specific needs.

In an East West session the client may be fully clothed or be asked to undress to a level that allows me to work with lotion on a specific body part. Clients will undress in private, lay on a massage table and cover themselves with a sheet. East West sessions are excellent for chronic pain, conditions that are difficult to heal and injury recovery. East West sessions restore balance and harmony in the mind, body and spirit.
